Tables to be aware of

In previous sections, we’ve covered

  • How to access and download ADNI data

  • How the data repository is organized

  • How to find and use the data dictionary

  • How individual tables are laid out

Now, we’ll turn our attention towards highlighting a selection of particularly noteworthy tables.

We will start by looking at two categories of tables that should be involved in virtually any analysis of ADNI data, including studies focused on imaging, biomarkers, cognitive and clinical outcome measures, and genetics.

These are tables consisting of diagnostic information, and tables that contain information on subject characteristics.

From there, we will spend some time going over the registry, which serves as a central record of clinical visits across all phases of the study.

Finally, we’ll turn our attention to a selection of tables that are particularly valuable resources in the context of specific scientific domains.
